Anonymous asked: why do you say you "love/hate" kpop?

it’s nothing against the idols/artists. god, no.

i just HATE the korean music industry because it sucks so much.
i could write a whole essay on why it sucks but long story short: artists don’t get enough freedom music-wise. they are prefabricated and i hate that.
when i was like 16 or 17 i was obsessed with kpop, but then i learned how it works and it kind of ~turned me off~ and i’m like really suspicious about everything. i give props to the people who writes most of the songs, but i really want to feel proud of the artists, not the people behind them. (luckily i see most of them do get the chance to write some songs nowadays).

for me the lamest thing about korean music industry gotta be artists like FTisland. that whole idol band is crap and it really saddens me because i LOVE them and they are so talented.
sigh they even gave them the lamest band name ever.
but i’m glad they are writing a couple of songs (not singles, OF COURSE).

obviously they have a hell lot more freedom on japan. did you hear the songs they wrote in japan? they fucking rock. that’s what saddens me.

ANYWAYS, there you go. my opinion on kpop.
